Sometimes the advice is for the couple.
Sometimes the advice is for the vendors.
Regardless, I have almost 100K streams on 15 different platforms with the number one wedding podcast in the Philadelphia Tri-State area.
I'm Eric Scott Gold, DJ ESG, a private event DJ with over 30+ years of experience. These are my micro tips! The SHORT version of EVERYTHING, because Millennials and Gen Z's have the attention spans of a flea. I sugarcoat NOTHING. It's all from the heart and as RAW as it comes. I hope you can appreciate the honesty.
I have over 3,500 events under my belt with over 1000 online reviews. I'm a 7-time finalist for "International Mobile Entertainer Of The Year", a three-time "Best Of Philadelphia" winner, a two-time "Best Of San Diego" winner, and a two-time "Best Of Bucks" winner. I am the number one advocate in the nation for LGBTQ weddings and the first person to ever hold the pride flags up at the International DJ Expo during a live performance. I've also officiated over 200 weddings and over 50 same-sex weddings. Lastly, I had the amazing and distinguished honor of MCing (with my buddy Bob Palio behind the decks) Jason & Kylie Kelce's wedding. Yes, THAT Jason Kelce! #GoBirds

What's up guys? Dj ESG here, honest Wedding Advice, season number 10, and I told you we're gonna have some hilarious shit this year. Well, I can't even start to tell you what just happened to me the other day. So we're in the middle of the ceremony, we're having a good time, the bride and groom are down, the music was great, the microphone's working properly, it's not too hot out because it just rained so everybody's back was feeling better. If you're old like me, you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 0:And all of a sudden you hear snoring. You're like wait, what? What's going on? So I'm kind of like on the right hand side and I'm looking over at the aisles and people are starting to laugh. And then the bride and groom, like they're starting to like notice what's going on and they're sort of laughing too, but you can tell like they were trying to take it serious but they were laughing. The officiant he starts to laugh and like the mom, the bride's mom she looks over and like three seats down, the grandpa dude he is out, fucking cold. I mean dude is fucking snoring away. So she gets up and walks over and like starts tapping him and you know he doesn't quite come to right away and then everybody starts laughing.
Speaker 0:Everybody kind of figured out what was going on. You know the bridesmaids, they're looking, they're tapping them and you know I'm thinking, oh my god, is this guy dead? You're like he's still making noise. But you know they're, they're tapping him and he's not fucking moving, like I don't know what's going on. And then all of a sudden they're just like okay, they finally got him to wake up and he didn't even recognize what was going on. Everybody's just laughing. They're sitting there, lo and behold, somebody on the bride's dad's side decided that they were going to give him a Tylenol or something to help him with the headache or whatever he had, or some kind of pill that he was supposed to take, and him with the headache or whatever he had or some kind of pill that he was supposed to take. And then they put him outside and the pill knocked him out. So we finished, we got the ceremony completed. They walk him back down the aisle people are hanging out because they wanted to talk to him and see what happened and laugh and like this older woman walks over, she goes oh my god, I'm so sorry. Like I didn't know, like you didn't know, as I'm grabbing the microphone, like you didn't know what, like I'm listening, like what's going on, because I'm nosy as fuck. You know what I mean. And she goes, I gave him a sleeping pill and I was supposed to give him the other pill but he told me to give him that pill and like that's the pill that knocks him out. So I'm like, oh my god, you gotta fucking be kidding me, dude.
Speaker 0:Moral of the story is, if you, if you have elderly people coming to your wedding, please, please, please, don't medicate them. Don't medicate them and put them out in the sun, because that was either the funniest thing that I've ever seen or the scariest thing that I've ever seen, because he wasn't waking up at first. So I don't really know if that's really great advice to give somebody. Don't medicate your elders, but, dude, you don't have to bring them out to the ceremony location if you know that they don't feel good or there's something going on. I mean that's I guess that's great advice. I don't fucking know, but I swear to God, I mean he came in later and he danced with the bride and partied and all that, but that motherfucker was out cold, oh my.
